Committees

Fun Fair

You can help as much or as little as you want!

Help organize events, treats, food and activities.

You don’t have to do it all -- even taking on one portion will be a big help!

Organizes and plans the Fun Fair. Arranges for deliveries of games, inflatables etc. Organizes food pick up and set up. Organizes purchases for extras (ie. candy/slushy).

Time commitment: Committee meetings once a month leading up to the event (approximately 1 hour/month for meetings plus the time to coordinate vendors and suppliers. Should plan on the Committee Chair and at least one other volunteer being available the day of the event to facilitate set up.)

Teacher Appreciation & Gifts

Organizes Christmas and end of year gifts for teachers in elementary & ELC. Brainstorming ideas, purchasing gifts and distributing. For appreciation days there is usually one in the fall, and one in the spring. Usually it is organizing treats to pick up and bring to the school. In the past we have done coffee from Starbucks and treats from Blacksmith Bakery, for example.

Time commitment: Committee meetings monthly to brainstorm and organize (approximately 1 hour/month for meetings plus time sourcing and purchasing gifts)

Fundraising

Plans fundraising for the school year according to fundraising calendar. Brainstorm any new ideas. Ensures volunteers are organized for in person events, as well as sorting of any incoming fundraisers that will be picked up at school.

Time commitment: Committee meetings monthly to brainstorm and organized different fundraisers and what is needed to support them. (approximately 1 hour/month for meetings plus time spent sorting and coordinating fundraisers)

Fun Friday

Facilitate the Fun Friday fundraiser. Brainstorm for Fun Friday Treats, present the Executive Committee with your ideas, purchase the treats and sell them outside of the school after school.

Time commitment: Approximately 10 hours per year (1-2 hours to plan brainstorm ideas and 1 hour per month to sell the treats) plus the time to purchase treats as needed.

Popcorn Wednesdays

Facilitate Popcorn Wednesdays fundraiser. Purchase popcorn in bulk, bag it in individual bags and sell it during lunch time at the school.

Filling Popcorn Bags: Done at your home in the evening of November 21st and/or December 5th and/or December 19th.

Popcorn and supplies will be delivered to you at school pick up on Tuesday and the completed bags would need to be dropped back off to the school the following morning for the sale.

Fill 60 bags with 3 cups of popcorn and staple them closed.

Takes roughly 1 hour to do and you get to keep any leftover popcorn!

Selling Popcorn at the School: Done at the school at 11:15am to 12:15pm on December 6th and/or December 20th. Set up the table and popcorn bags, collect money from the students and hand out the bags.

Count the money, fill in the cash form and seal it in the poly mailer to hand off to a PAC executive at pick up.

Takes roughly 1 hour to do and is so much fun seeing all the kids excited to purchase their popcorn!

Time commitment: Approximately 4 hour/month (1 hour to bag with two people and 1 hour to set up and sell the popcorn x2 per month) plus the time to purchase the popcorn as needed.

Yearend Financial Review

Meet at the school through all the invoices, receipts, bank statements and review them against the PAC financial reports.
